flirting like badgers
Ordinarily I'm a pretty practical and grounded person capable of making rational desiscions except when it comes to two things:
1) girls
2) food
This afternoon I went grocery shopping, which these days takes me about three hours because I've started buying organic and fairtrade again and I hit up about 5 stores each at an opposite polar axises of the city. I was finishing my rounds when I was struck by vegetable-induced euphoria at the site of orka on sale and scooped it up immeaditly. I had just bought a bulk bag of long grain rice and some chili powder and I thought maybe I could throw the three together and make something if not good at least interesting. In my vegetably altered state I texted Nicola and invited her over for dinner tomorrow night and it was after she accepted that I suddenly realized that rice, chili powder, and okra does not equal a a meal suit to woo some one 11 years older than me. It might, if I was lucky, woo a war veterin whose tastebuds had been vaporized by nerve gas, but only if he wasn't doing anything better. So, in conclusion, if you have any family okra recipies, please email them to me immeaditly because I need them now.
Yesterday we went to see Brokeback Mountain. Jesus, what a heartwrencher. There where these little punk ass fuckwads in the front who would laugh riotously every time there was a sex scene until some awesome woman in the audience actually yelled at them and after that they shut up. If you guys haven't been to see it yet, definitely don't miss it. My mom wrote to say that she and Heather and Heather's Little Friend went to see it some weekend and though momma loved it, Heather didn't think it was everything it was hyped up to be. She thinks Heath and Jake are 'funny looking'. Heather can be really deep sometimes.
I've finally got my VYCC application all written and my official reason for coming in here was to type it up and send it off. I just really need those okra recipies!
