Ew, May, stop being gross. Or be June tomorrow.
Yesterday I had lunch with Brian, Bo, Karl, Kara, and Kirwin. I hadn't seen Bo in four years, Karl or Kirwin in a year and a half, Brian since Sunday, and Kara since earlier that morning. They've all (except, of course, Kara) just graduated from college, which seems weird beause I still think of them as sophomores in high school. The last time I saw Kirwin I guess he must have told me he was going to Hawaii to study its geology and I must have told him that Ben (who I can't have known very well when I was telling all this to Kirwin) called me Holly Ackala and that we found out it was actually as volcano in Hawaii. So all this long time later James has been to Hawaii and back and while he was there bought me a little pin from Haleakala National Park and when we came by to pick him up he gave it to me. That was pretty awesome/amazing.
I'm in Brattleboro now. I don't have internet in my appartment but apparently our grad center, which I've only heard of in the context of Things Prez Paul Wasted Our Money On but had never been to, provides free internet access (well, obviously it's apparent because I am in fact in the grad center, on their free computer, using their free internet, and sipping their free coffee. Thank you Prez Paul for this delishious cuppa Joe!). I went up to Marlboro this morning to do email and talk to Gene, my boss, but he told me he wouldn't need me until Sunday night or Monday. I had lunch at school, bought some groceries at the co-op, and investigated a parking permit (so I don't have to keep waking up at 8:30 to move my car). I'm tired.
Opps, they're kicking me out.
